While working today I noticed some dudes looking in the back of my truck in the parking lot.
Watched them for a while and wrote down license plate number. Can you believe that the dude
in the passenger seat jumped out and stole my wading boots?!?! Tip for the day. DON'T LEAVE
YOUR WADING BOOTS IN THE BACK OF YOUR TRUCK.

Summer is really upon us now and the Coho are almost here. I am very happy to say that I have
talked with a few commercial fishermen and a few wildlife biologists and they assure me that
this will be a fantastic year despite what is going on in California and Oregon. I am excited!

Hit the water with some clients today. Man, is was a actual zoo out today. Saw porpoises, seals,
and sea lions. Beach #1 cleaned up on the smaller skinny Cutthroat. Beach #2 wind like I have
never seen in my life! Beach #3 Found a great tide rip close to shore and got into some nice
resident Coho. There were some good slime lines with cutthroat feeding nose up. Great day on
the water.

The past two weeks have proved to be spotty for cutthroat. We have seen lots of fish and then
we have seen zero, although I had a stellar day in the middle sound last Monday. The
resident coho are getting big and are starting to move and shake a bit. Have seen them from
off of Possession all the way down to Gig Harbor. Pay attention to moving or scared bait fish.
The bigger prey species are chasing them around. Watching this is so much fun.....strip your
fly fast for added success.
This Coho season is going to be a blast. We are getting booked fast so don't hesitate. Keep
in mind that we have salmon for another 3 months out in the salt.
